IRISH HISTORY TALK - "Industrial Heritage of Dublin Southeast"
Meet up with fellow AWCD history buffs to hear Rob Goodbody, historian and member of the Royal Irish Academy, lecture on the Industrial Heritage of Dublin Southeast in association with the Dublin City Council Archaeology and Heritage Sections, in association with the Industrial Heritage Association of Ireland. This area has a rich industrial history including mining and quarrying, watermills, windmills, breweries, distilleries and factories, power stations and gas works and numerous transport facilities such as roads, canals, railways, docks and part of Dublin port.
