The Irish Thoroughbred has evolved into one of the world's most celebrated champions of the flat track and the steeplechase course. Join us on a private tour of the National Stud, located in County Kildare, Ireland's Thoroughbred country, to see where and how many of these amazing animals are bred, born, raised and trained.
For the more daring, there is an interactive option, where you "purchase and train" your steed. Then pick your racing silks and "head to the starting gate to ride your horse" in hopes of victory! OK... It's a mechanical horse, but a win is a win!
If that wasn't enough entertainment, our outing also includes the Stud's incredible Japanese Gardens, laid out by a master Japanese horticulturalist and his son between 1906 - 1910. The gardens are deemed the finest of their kind in Europe.
Guests and children 8 and older are welcome to participate in this wonderful experience. Meet at the Visitor's Centre at 11:15 for an 11:30 start to our tour.
