A Grand Day Out - Wicklow
Mount Usher is not simply one of Ireland’s greatest gardens, but it’s a world-class example of a so-called Robinsonian garden, with its relaxed informality and natural layout. Monty Don has described it as one of his favourite gardens anywhere.
Dating from approximately 1860. The gardens stretch across an incredible 20 acres and contain over 5,000 different species of plants and trees. Water forms an essential part of the scenery with cascades and suspension bridges. Join us on this Grand Day Out with a knowledgeable gardener to help us identify the plantings and provide tips for adding some of these beauties to our own green spaces or patio pots.

TIME: 10.45 AM. Tour begins at 11 and will take approximately 1.5 hours.
COST: €17.50 includes entry and private guided tour
MAXIMUM: Limit is 15 people. Prospective members and Guests are welcome to join in. Register by Friday April 21st.
OPTIONAL: Lunch at "The Chester Beatty Inn" in Ashford Village. Not included in the tour price.
OPTIONAL: Early arrivals join us for coffee to start at the "mini" Avoca in the Garden Courtyard. There are also a number of small craft/collectible shops and a garden shop on site.
