A Grand Day Out - Co. Kildare Guided Tour of the Market Square, St. Brigid’s Cathedral, the tallest tower that can be visited in Ireland, and the Cathedral Grounds.
WHERE: Kildare Town is located 40 km from Dublin. We will meet outside Kildare Town Heritage Center and the local Tourist Office - located in Market Square, opposite St. Brigid’s Cathedral.
DATE: Thursday, February 2nd
TIME: 10.45 AM. Tour begins 11 and will take approximately 1 hour.
COST: €16, due on booking (non-refundable due to the date).
MAXIMUM: We are limiting this tour to 16 people. Guests are welcome. Register by Friday January 27th.
OPTIONAL: Lunch at “Silken Thomas” where "the last remaining tower of the Castle of Kildare stands in the car park". Not included in the tour price.
OPTIONAL: The “Virtual Legends of Kildare” Experience in the Kildare Heritage Centre (highly recommended). The Heritage Center offers a complete history of the medieval city, in a multimedia exhibition that tells its past and present.
