November is a time of reflection and gratitude. Veterans Day, Remembrance/Armistice Day, Thanksgiving, World Peace Day, World Kindness Day and Giving Tuesday all fall within the month of November, prompting us to pause during our busy schedules and remember what’s most important. To honour the spirit of these holidays, we've planned a special morning for our November General Meeting.

Join us from 10:30 am-Noon in the Zurich Room of the Lansdowne Football Club’s Clubhouse on Thursday, November 10.

Club Business

Coat Drive

  • As the chillier weather is now upon us, we are organizing a winter coat (and gloves, hats and scarves) drive for the homeless of Dublin. Consider bringing any gently used winter outerwear to donate.

Fireside Chat with FAWCO

  • We’ll spend some time hearing about what FAWCO has been up to and learning more about the myriad benefits available to our AWCD members.

FAWCO Fundraising Raffle

  • To raise money in support of FAWCO, we are raffling off a few fun prizes, including a big basket of Thanksgiving goodies with tastes from home, sure to get you all sorted for the holiday.

Guest Speaker

We are pleased to welcome James O’Brien to speak with us. James is the Executive Director at International Forum for Volunteering in Development (Forum), a global network of organizations involved in international volunteering. Forum’s mission is “working effectively for a world where no one is left behind.” For more information about Forum, please read about it here.
