Hello hikers! This week’s AWCD Hike /Hillwalk will take us over Bray Head and down to the lovely Belmont Desmesne.
Date: Thursday, 24 March 2022
Hike: We will meet just outside the Bray DART Station and walk from there along the strand to the start of the Bray Head trail. (Drivers can park at the small carpark just north of Bray Head.) A steep climb will take us up to the cross atop Bray Head, from which the territorial views are stunning. We’ll continue south across Bray Head, then bend west and drop down to the Belmont Desmesne, where we can have a snack or early lunch before retracing our steps to Bray.
Meeting place: Bray DART Station
Meeting time: 9:45 (or 10:00 at the Bray Head carpark)
Hike time: 3.5 hours
Please bring: 1 liter water, lunch, snack, rain gear, hat and gloves

I have been asked by the AWCD to point out that walkers should be aware that they are responsible for their own safety and that they are NOT covered by the AWCD for Personal Accident Insurance. To hike with the Hillwalking group you must be a member of Mountaineering Ireland which provides us with insurance cover. If you have not walked with us before, you are allowed two guest walks before joining Mountaineering Ireland. You will need to sign a Guest Waiver Form. I will bring these on the walk.
