This week’s AWCD hillwalk will take us along the scenic coastline of South Dublin's Killiney and Dalkey areas.
Beginning our route from Killiney Beach, we'll walk along the footpath to Vico Road past White Rock Beach and the Vico Baths, then on to Coliemore Road to Dillion's Park and it's holy well, followed by a quick stop at Coliemore Harbour and it's views of nearby Dalkey Island. Looping back towards Killiney, we'll make a short visit into Sorrento Park before our ascent up Dalkey Hill and around the quarry, followed by the magnificent views of Dublin Bay from the top of Killiney Hill.
The trail is approximately 9 KM long and should take around 2.45 hours. Please bring a lunch; we will take a break for a picnic lunch.
We will meet outside the Killiney DART station at 9.45am. Note that toilets are located at both Killiney Beach and on Killiney Hill.

Route Overview: Paved footpaths from Killiney Beach to Vico Road to Coliemore Road and back. A mixture of paved stairs and pathways, along with some dirt/muddy trails.
Meeting place: Killiney DART Station
Meeting time: 9:45am for a 10:00am start
Hike time: 2.45 hours
Please bring: 1 liter water, lunch and snack, rain gear, hat and gloves.
