DATE: First and Third Thursdays every month.
TIME: 9:30 AM - 15:00 PM
LOCATION: TBD - The meet-up location changes each week and is emailed to the group from the coordinator.
COST: There is no charge for this activity. the only requirement is membership with Mountaineering Ireland which costs €35 a year. This is required for regular walkers for insurance coverage since hill walking is not covered under our AWCD insurance policy.

DETAILS:
- To hike with the group, you must be a member of Mountaineering Ireland which provides insurance coverage. The coordinator will assist you with membership if you decide to hike with the group. Cost of coverage is 35 Euro per year. You may join in on one hike before deciding to become a member of Mountaineering Ireland.
- Hikes usually last 3 - 4 hours and range in difficulty from medium to difficult.
- Check the Hillwalking option on your profile in order to receive the weekly email about the location, level of difficulty, length of walk and any other pertinent information about each hike since they vary each week.
- Proper hiking boots and wet weather gear are essential for this activity.
- Carpooling can usually be arranged for those who need it.
- The group typically either brings a packed lunch to eat during the hike or goes to lunch together at the conclusion of the hike.
- All members who are going have to register on the Wild Apricot App.
